So you want to make a character... The Steps: Step 1. Read the Guidelines found in Please Read Before You Submit a Character Application. The best way to get quick approval is to stick to these (don't worry, most of them are common sense). Step 2. Choose your ship. There are a few and they each have a different premise and thus require a different style of role play. Active ships/locations: ILEV Constable: an experimental vessel sent to the rim to assist local law enforcement with high-profile crimes. Positions are still available, so contact abbey if you are interested. The Gypsy Traveler: a ship full of circus folk with a proclivity for crime, especially against the Alliance. Think of them as a roaming band of Robinhood and his merry men. Or rather Renohood... Contact abbey for more information. Darwin: For the conspiracy theorist in you. You want close contact with the powers that be who run the verse? This is the ship for you. For more information, contact abbey. Quan de Yun You: In the spirit of Dark Matter, what would you do if you woke up on a ship not knowing who you were, where you were or how you got there? For more information, contact Ian Dugan. Eavesdown Docks: for those who don't want to be tied to a ship or just want to enjoy being at the central hub for all sorts of activity (legal and otherwise) take a look toward the hustle and bustle of Persephone's docks. For more information, contact Rabbit. Chicago 2: Chicago 2 is a small scale luxury liner. Casinos and entertainment. May be booked for private cruises or they just might stop by to give a show. For more information, please contact abbey. The Lionheart: contact Wildback. The Revenge: contact maldrul. Step 3. After you've read a bit and gotten a feel for what you'd like to do, take a look in the RPG Resources for a fast rundown of the 'Verse, possible weapons and a handy map. Also look up the Help Wanted/Help Needed section to see what kind of characters might be needed out there. Step 4. Be sure to check our Character Casting List to make sure the actor, actress, or generally famous person you want is available. If someone is reserved, you may ask to be able to use them, but if you are told no, there is usually a good reason for it. Ask us and maybe we can help you come up with a suitable replacement playby. Step 5. Now that you've had a tour, copy the Character Application Sheetand start fleshing out your PC. If at any time you're not sure about the character you're planning, contact the ship's narrator to discuss. Step 6. When your application is finished, start a new thread (use the name of your character as the title) in the Pending Characters section. If there are any questions regarding your application, the admin team or ship's narrator will contact you. Please don't post in a story thread until you're approved, but feel free to post in the OOC sections to ask questions, introduce yourself and such. Once you are approved, your application will be moved to the appropriate crew manifest and the Master List (list in order by character name), the Character Casting List (alphabetical list of celebs/famous folk) and the Character List by Player will be updated. If you have questions not covered anywhere else on the board or it has been over a week and you've not heard anything, please contact one of the admins. For more useful information, please read the thread, On Godmodding. Now go play! Edited by abbey, Apr 27 2018, 02:25 PM.
