10/22/10 "Nice to meet you" Adria said, shaking Akira's hand. She noticed the woman seemed a little uncomfortable. "Don't worry. I don't bite" she said, with a friendly smile. She paused a moment, and her expression took on a hint of mischief. "Much" she muttered with a sidelong glance at Andrew. She smirked at Akira's message from Rachel, and snickered outright at Cooper's reply. Adria knew he probably hadn't meant it the way it sounded, but it was still pretty amusing. Before she could continue the conversation, one of the terminals beeped at the same time a message came in for her from Mac. "Silas Bradford, huh? Sure thing. Seems he's got a rather interesting past. Mother was the top whore at a brothel on Santo. She was stabbed twenty eight times. Large knife...missing her face." Adria was working on the request for the warrant as she talked to Mac over the comm. "He was ruled out as a suspect since he was fifteen at the time. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if it was him that did it. Case was never solved." She sent off the request for the warrant, and started further searches. The more evidence they had the better. Silas Bradford, Jiangyin, Newhall, Sihnon. After a moment, she forwarded the results of her latest search to Mac and Hutch. Once that was running, she again keyed her PDA into the ship's network so the results would be forwarded on to her PDA along with the arrest warrant. For good measure, she set up the ship computers to forward a copy of the arrest warrant to the PDA's of Hutch, Mac, and Cooper as well as her own. Having done that, she headed over to the equipment rack. She tossed protective gear to Andrew before armoring herself and grabbing weapons. "You any good with a weapon?" she asked, glancing at Akira as she readied herself. |

10/23/10 Akira gave Cooper a look that was probably unreadable to him, though if he was good at his job, he might see it. For the most part the look was a mixture of "Of course he's her 'pimp'... just look at him" and "Its a shame that he is though" with a little bit of "Well there goes any attraction I could have felt towards him". It was more of Akira's multiple observations in a brief second of a look, before she looked towards Adria again and laughed at her comment. "I don't think that last bit applies to me though." Her eyes then drifted to the other male, whom she now assumed was Andrew. Akira hadn't even been there for more than ten minutes and she already knew a little too much about her new co-workers. She knew that Andrew and Adria were hooking up whenever they could, and that Cooper and his pet were probably going to be hooking up later.' "Pretty decent, though I prefer a duel with swords. My father, however, was very big on guns so I do own a few... they are currently packed away I'm afraid." She probably should have just kept them on her, but she didn't expect that she would be put out in the field in a position that would require her to wield one. She mostly thought that the others would have the weapons and she would just be hovering over a dead body. Perhaps she shouldn't have made such an assumption, but it was what she had done in the past. Apparently this new job was going to be a lot different than her last. |

10/23/10 Andrew caught hold of the armour Adria passed, and immeditaely began putting it on. He had spent the remainder of his return to the breifing room laid back in a nearby chair, his mind had constantly drifted from the 'job' to Adria, eyeing her up and down like a hungry animal. As a result, he didn't even have the slightes clue where they were going as he borrowed a gun from Adria (having left his beneath the pillow- and the rest of them still on his ship). He caught note of Akira however, and the unfortunate fact that Ink turned out not to be the Butcher. It had been a fading hope, but it was still disappointing to hear of this Bradford fellow. He glanced to everyone in the room and took a deep breath. It was going to be over soon. Adria and he could move on. The thought excited him. Finally, a companion. Someone he felt close to. He wouldn't have to travel alone anymore. He wouldn't have to be alone at all. Andrew suddenly felt a little discouraged at the thought. He finished suiting up and tucked his gun away. |

10/23/10 I commed soldier Joe on the way out of the ship and told him to be ready, by the time I was outside and at the guard's post he had a hover ready. I climbed in and only figured to wait a short minute for the others. I told Joe the apartment number and told him how to approach, along the alley and then around to the front. We'd drop someone off in the back, I wasn't sure who yet. I wasn't even sure if I was officially in charge of my associates, but until someone challenged it, I figuted to call the shots. How many of them and cornered a serial killer before? Of course the chances of the Butcher actually being there were slim. Slim too that he'd struck as we predicted. His idea of the ideal hooker in the district might be different from our own conclusions. Still, I tried to ignore the possibility that he'd been, and gone. Leaving Lily behind. Odd of course that, removed it from my mind; any emotion. The chase had my blood up, I thought about if Hutch showed up at a bad time, charging in.. that could be bad if the Butcher was there. If Lily was still alive. I had to think of that. Cornered, ... cornered. there was no telling what would happen. |

10/24/10 Constance had continued to lie on her bed, thinking about the wave she had sent, continuing to feel a sense of dissatisfaction with it, not helped by the lack of response from Coop. She had the job, she had been assured of that but they hadn't given her the posting yet. All she could do now was wait. She hated the waiting, always had. It gave her time to think and the thing she thought about was Coop and their relationship, both the current one and what they had had before. She was beginning to feel that she had made a mistake accepting the job, feeling a resurgence in her feelings toward her ex-husband. He hadn't said where he was, but she knew he would be involved in solving some murder or other. Pulling herself up off the bed, Constance sent another wave to Coop's private address.
She felt happier after she had sent that than her earlier wave. She wasn't satisfied, feeling that she had now come across as being needy, which she hated. Constance resumed her position on the bed and sighed deeply. It really was not turning out to be a good day. |

10/25/10 "Good" Adria replied. She handed over armor and a gun to Akira. "We're going to need all the help we can get, I think." She quickly filled Akira in on the basics of the case, with enough detail to emphasize the key points. Adria cast a glance at Andrew on her way to the door. Soon she thought. Once this guy's been locked up, we'll be able to leave. The prospect of going off with Andrew was...oddly exciting and appealing. They really hadn't known each other all that long, after all...and here she was preparing to run off with him. And...they hadn't discussed where they'd be going...but she supposed it didn't matter. There was plenty of time for that later. It occurred to her that they might be called back to provide some sort of testimony...but...maybe not. It wasn't like they had been all that pivotal in solving the case, after all. Oh well...they could be sent a subpoena if they were needed. That's what those things were for, after all. |

10/25/10 Andrew was doing a quick ammo check before he followed after behind Adria. Placing a steady hand on her thigh- he brough his head up over her shoulder watching Akira leave in front of them. "As opposed to a whore," he began, nodding forward to Akira, "would you consider a threesome with someone like her." He laughed lightly and kissed her cheek to show he was simply joking. A little. Given they were the last one's to leave, Andrew took the oppertunity to give her a nice, playful slap on the ass. |

10/25/10 "I most certainly will not. I don't share" Adria replied, her tone full of indignation. Her eyes betrayed her amusement, though nothing else did. She relented and let her mouth curve in a small smile, glancing at Andrew out of the corner of her eyes. She let out a chuckle when he slapped her ass and nudged him playfully. She waited until she had an opportunity prior to getting into the hover...then reached over and grabbed a handful of his ass. Adria tossed him a playful wink and a grin as she climbed into the hover and settled herself for the ride. |

10/25/10 Eva had heard the comm about the Butcher possibly being at Lily's. He also heard the call for medical help. How would he have known there might be more than one person injured? Maybe he was talking about the Butcher himself when he got a hold of her. She rolled her eyes at the thought of the stranger than strange relationship between the Captain and Lily. She grabbed her kit and ran out to the hover that was waiting. She threw in the kit, not really caring where or on who it landed. She then scrunched herself in the front seat with Cooper. She looked at the amount of people inside. "Really, Cooper? Really?" she scoffed. She saw a couple of people she didn't know. "Eva Black, Medical Officer." She made no attempt to try to shake anyone's hand. She smirked at them all. "Well, let's get on to the residence of the Captain's private doxy," she sighed. "At least before the bodies mount up even more." She looked at Akira, Adria and Andrew. "If you need to be somewhere else, I am sure Cooper could slow down a little so you can jump out." |

10/25/10 "This is Andrew, a friend of mine in a similar line of work to mine" Adria said. She'd already met Eva previously, when the woman had treated her injuries. "This is Akira...she's a medical examiner." Adria managed to keep a straight face...but with effort. Eva's last comment made Adria wonder if she'd seen the horseplay between her and Andrew. She couldn't tell for sure, though. "We've got a killer to catch" she replied, raising her eyebrow slightly. "Why would we need to be anywhere else?" When in doubt...play innocent. |

10/25/10 Everyone had piled in. I put the volts to the engines and we headed off. Joe followed with a squad of soldiers. I'd given him the address and told him to position around the block, cut off the streets and get them cleared as best as they could. I figured infantry and guard duty might include cordoning off the area. Didn't matter, either way, it could turn into quite an event. or nothing. "Really, Cooper? Really?" Eva scoffed. Obviously she didn't know the new blood. "Eva Black, Medical Officer." She made no attempt to try to shake anyone's hand, just smirked at them all. "The Captain's a real ace at the personnel recruiting aspects. No stray will be turned away." I leaned closer to Eva but spoke loud enough to explain to the newbies. Not that I cared one flute note about my reputation to them... well, not more than a couple or three flute notes, "I still got to shake loose Rachel, she's not making the connection between Police and my working the case in cahoots with the gangs as a collector." (I think Eva would be up to speed). Of course I hadn't exactly suppressed the tagging along by falling in the sack with her. "Well, let's get on to the residence of the Captain's private doxy, at least before the bodies mount up even more." Eva looked at Akira, Adria and Andrew. "If you need to be somewhere else, I am sure Cooper could slow down a little so you can jump out." Adria offered an explanation quick and simple. Good. Because it was enough of the jibber jabber. I offered a weak smile to Eva and threw my best squad room commanding voice at everyone, "OK, listen up. I'll drop Adria and Andrew off in the alley behind. Take up position at the corners. The military guards should be about half a block away to put the hinder on any other civilians gather too close. You see any, move them on their way. I'll be going in the front with Eva and Akira. If Hutch, the Captain, isn't there. We're not waiting." |

10/25/10 Taking the armor, she put it on, and took the weapon from the other woman. Akira prepared the weapon in her hand, walking as she made sure it was working order. She didn't necessarily distrust Adria, but she didn't exactly know her, so she just wanted to be sure before she tried to use it that the gun was in perfect order. From the looks of it, it was perfectly fine, which was good if you asked her. It was a little nerve-wracking knowing that she was going into danger on some sort of rescue mission. However, it was also a little thrilling, not that she would show it too much. Thinking for a moment, Akira made sure to grab her medical bag, just in case she had to do her job where ever they were going. Akira looked towards Cooper, but didn't say exactly what was on her mind at that moment. "She seems like a big girl. You should probably just tell her what's on your mind." What she didn't say was that he should probably get himself tested for any suspicious deceases he might have picked up from simply being in the girl's presence. There was no doubt in her mind that they had most likely slept with each other, which only furthered the possibility of him catching something from her. However, she was feeling a bit nice and didn't say anything negative about the young woman. She was silent up until the point that they were just about to leave, feeling that it was not necessary that she say anything. Akira wasn't exactly thrilled with the attitude of the Medical Officer, but she chose to ignore her instead and focus on the task at hand. She also didn't appreciate the insinuation that she was incapable of handling the situation should things get ugly. Akira may not have looked like it, but she certainly knew how to defend herself; she wasn't some helpless woman who just dealt with dead bodies. "I'm assuming that I'll know what he looks like upon arrival?" Akira had yet to meet the Captain yet, so she was assuming that he would be recognizable. Either way, she was going to be prepared for whatever was going to happen by the time they arrived. "I assure you, I am not going anywhere any time soon." |

10/27/10 ok, so we're all one big happy hunting party, that's good. now if we could only have something to get our sights on. I drove around a delivery truck and my comm beeped. It was Constance... christ that girl has some great timing. I flick the switch to store it away. I pulled the hover around behind Lily's, "Hop out here.. Adria and Andrew, cover the back, when you hear me go in the front come through the back." I gave them a look as if to suggest that was simple enough wasn't it? Leaving the hover at the side of the apartment I took the shotgun and the small heavy battering ram for the door. I looked down the street. Joe was there disbursing his marines one apartment away from Lily's. good, good. I gave the front door a look, stepped up slow, sat the shotgun by the door and got ready to give the ram a swing and bust the lock and force the door wide open. I took a look back to Eva and Akira, wondered if they were positioning to go in first. And then I saw Hutch coming. |

10/27/10 Just to remind people... Here is the layout for a flat in the District. ![]() Rex on the floor to the left of the bed. Butcher standing nearer to the Kitchen Table. ************** Hutch saw Cooper about to use a battering ram to open Lily's door. It was kinda overkill. And it would startle the Butcher, perhaps making him angry and killing his victim (or victims - unless Rex is already dead) before getting caught. He reached her post just as he was about to use it and Hutch caught it, mid-backswing. "Put the ram down," Hutch whispered to him. "I got a key." Hutch produced a key that was located on his personal key chain. He motioned to Cooper that he was about to unlock the door. He slid the key in the lock and turned it, slowly opening the door to the scene playing out inside. Hutch, Cooper, Akira and Eva continue here. If anyone else enters Lily's flat, use the Aside. 10/28/10 Andrew nodded to Cooper and hopped off the hovel, turning to help Adria down (not that she would need it). With his gun at a ready- Andrew trotted off down the allyway- keeping pace behind her until the reached the corner. With his back to the wall he glanced around, the flat in plane view. He shook his head in a tiny spark of frusteration. "I guess when Cooper said go through the back, he meant go through the window." He watched from the corner, staring out through the glass and into the Flat's bathroom. He waited. Andrew and Adria continue here. |
