The Commander was a wuss. Or at least so it seemed so far.

"No need to do anything drastic, Mr. Advocate. My men were just supposed to get some straight answers from these... women. Obviously, they got a little... enthusiastic."

The Advocate snorted at his assessment of the situation. He looked down at the two women. He was trained to be a quick judge of character and even unconscious, these women looked quite strong minded. Especially to not succumb to the treatment they endured without resorting to telling t he soldiers anything they wanted to hear.

"People from medical will be down shortly,"

"Better be."

Then Murch looked at him with a puzzled expression.

"Sir... If you don't mind answering... Why is a man in your position here representing two low-life carnies? One has already confessed her part in the murder of my men, the other is playing dumb. Why waste your time? Surely you have better things to do?"

"Of course I have better things to do," he snorted again in disgust. this man was questioning his motives. Like he had the right to. The truth was that he had a debt to pay, but Murch had no need to know that. "And I mind answering to you about my motives. I don't answer to you."

He looked up at Sergei, who had quieted some but was intently watching them. Sooner or later, he would have to talk to the man. He needed more intel on the situation. His eyes looked further down the hall and saw the medical staff arrive. With precision, they had the women on gurneys with fluids pumping into them. Then they were rushed out of there, headed for the med bay. The Advocate waved Murch in that direction, his intention to follow his two clients.

"Shall we?" he asked with his eyebrows raised. He couldn't really take much more of this man. He was sickening. "You will show me to where the med bay is and then you may leave. I will contact you if I need to."

Yes, it sounded as dismissive as he wanted it to. Then he followed the Commender out, but no before he paused at Sergei's cell.

"I'll take good care of them," he reassured the man. "We need to talk later though. We will get together soon. You need to tell me what exactly happened.

With that, he strode out of the Detention Center.

Sergei watched intently on what was happening to the girls. They were unconscious now, but he saw her move! When he banged on the glass of the cell, she had craned her neck and looked at him. He could tell she recognized him and he smiled, but that smile was short lived as she quickly fell unconscious. He stopped banging, but still glared down there with his fists tensed and ready to hurt someone the first chance he got.

"Do we just wait?"

He looked down at the young man as he stood next to him.

"Basically," was all that Sergei whispered. He noticed that Skyelar was slightly emotional and that was something that could be bad. "Try to keep your wits about you. We aren't down for the count. The sharp looking man down there is supposed to be helping them."

He strained a little until he heard what was going on.

"Did you know what they were doing down here? Is there someone else I need to talk to?" "Or do we have to do this the hard way and start from the top down. Whichever way it is, I will get my answer, dong ma?"

Sergei raised an eyebrow.

"Now that was a threat if I ever heard one. I am beginning to like this guy."

Then Murch questioned the Advocate on why he was helping out two lowly criminals. Was he trying to persuade the man to go away?

"Of course I have better things to do," "And I mind answering to you about my motives. I don't answer to you."

Sergei smiled a bit. Yes, he was definitely starting to like this man.

He noticed that the med staff was now there, rushing to the aid of his crew mates. He waited on pins and needles, trying to see what was going on. It didn't take long for them to hook up the girls with some fluids and rush them back down their way. He crossed the cell so he could get a good look at them as they went by.

"Reno... They look really bad," he whispered. "Both of them. Pale as death. I saw Amber look at me for a moment before she passed out. She knows we're here. They're headed to the med bay. Make sure someone is looking out for them. Can you get to them via the vents and such? Or could we get Darren in the vicinity? Surely something could be made not to work and need fixing?"

He then saw Murch and the Advocate approaching. The Advocate had basically ordered Murch to show him to the med bay and then leave. That was the ultimate dismissal. It felt good for Murch to be belittled in such a way.

Sergei saw Murch pass him, but the Advocate paused outside his door before addressing him. What he said was reassuring.

"I'll take good care of them," "We need to talk later though. We will get together soon. You need to tell me what exactly happened."

"They raped her," Sergei managed to spit out before the Advocate left.

He wondered if the guy even heard him. He hoped so. He hoped that the man wouldn't leave the girls unattended then. He would hate to see some monster repeat the act or either of them.

"I'm getting a good vibe, Skyelar," he told him. "Don't know if he heard me, but it is a certainty that he's coming back."

Reno and Thalia's Hidey Hole

"I just got here. Give me a break." "Got tapped to fix a minor coolant leak, but I'll see to the ship now, sir."

Reno smiled to himself. He liked pushing the mechanic's buttons every once and a while. The situation they were in right now hadn't stopped that.

"Shiny. Watch your back and stay safe." replied Reno to Darren into his earpiece.

"Reno? Are you seeing this? Or at least hearing this?""This guy of Thalia's just made Murch look like he was caught AWOL and intoxicated by his superior officer. Either that or he's seen a ghost."

"I'm seeing and hearing it, big man." replied Reno as he looked at the screen in front of him. "It's just too bad that I'm not there in person for a front row seat to it."

He continued to watch as the events on Flight Deck 3 unfolded. He growled when Murch had both Sergei and Skyelar arrested and clenched his fists tight, fingernails digging into flesh as both men and the Advocate were being lead out to where Ari and Amber were most likely being detained.

Through the security cameras aboard the Albright, he watched as the strongman and the "owner" of the GT were corralled into a cell. He wanted more than anything to storm out of his hiding spot, guns blazing, and mow down as many purplebellies as he could, while freeing both the men and the girls from the brig. He knew that was a bad plan though and let out a heavy sigh, knowing that such a plan would be suicide for him and death to his crew.

"Reno...""The girls don't look good. They've been torturing them. Heat, then cold, then heat... Going back and forth. So help me if they die...""Can I kill them?"

Reno waited until after Sergei screamed Amber's name once more, before he said into Sergei's earpiece, "Not yet. As much as I'd like to hear some purplebelly scum screaming while they die and getting in on some of that action, it would more than likely be more harmful to our plans and us at the moment. Perhaps later though. How bad do they look?"

There wasn't a good point of view from the security camera of Amber and Ari's cell, so he couldn't see the condition or state that they were in. He wondered what Murch had done to them or had done to them. Nonetheless, Reno vowed that they'd get payback for their treatment no matter what.

"Reno... They look really bad," "Both of them.

"I'll see what I can do." replied Reno over Sergei's earpiece, trying his best to calm the anger welling up inside him. "Darren's currently assessing the GT at the moment, but I'm sure I can get him to do something. These hundans are going to pay for this. Mark my words."

Murch disn't like the answers he was getting from the Advocate. Most of all, he didn't like the fact that the man basically outranked him, intimidated him and was dismissive of him.

"Of course I have better things to do," "And I mind answering to you about my motives. I don't answer to you."

Pompous ass...

He just wanted to smack the guy, but he also knew there would be definite repercussions from something like that.

His only recourse was to do what the man asked and maybe he would leave soon. He started to lead him to the med bay, where he requested to be. Where those bitches that killed his men were. Even if you believed their story, it was hard to believe that the one girl took out three of his men.

As he lead the man out of the Detention he was annoyed when he briefly stopped to talk to the big man.

"I'll take good care of them," "We need to talk later though. We will get together soon. You need to tell me what exactly happened."

He tried to rush the man out, but Sergei managed to answer him.

"They raped her,"

Murch scoffed at that. He waited until he got into the hallway on the way to the med bay.

"I would take whatever they say with a grain of salt. Those carnies... Liars. All of them. They'd say or do anything to throw the scent off themselves. They'd even try to sully the name of three good soldiers. One of them an officer and all had exemplary records."

Murch needed to defend his men.

"Those people? They have been in detention camps... Aided the independents during the war... Committed countless crimes... A truly worthless bunch."

Then he was rather disconcerted by the fact that the Advocate didn't even talk to him the rest ofthe way.

"Well... Here is the med bay," he said, waving the man inside. He stayed by the door. Shifting back onto his other foot. He stood there uncomfortably. "Well, I guess I will be going. Call for me if I can be of help to you."

Then he left, glad to be away from that man. He flipped on his comm.

"I need to see Major Harrigan."

The Med Bay

She didn't know how long it had been since she passed out. She just remembered the blackness of unconsciousness. Was she close to death? She believed herself to be.

But now she felt like she was floating. It was still dark, but it was an improvement. She tried to move, but couldn't. She tried to open her eyes, but she couldn't do that either.

She was not in control and she didn't like it.

Then she found herself where she didn't want to. Back at the Double Trouble.

Quote:

"Get off me!"  "GET OFF ME!"

"Shut up, bitch,"

He had choked her nearly unconscious and her pinned to the prep table before violating her.

"Stop! Get off me! Stop you bastard!"

He didn't pay much mind to her as he was nearing his goal.

She sat up a bit and took a swing at him.

"GET OFF ME! GET OFF ME!"  "PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!"

A tear slid down her face and a strangled wimper was heard. The nightmare continued as memories of the second soldier evaded her thoughts.

Quote:

"Looky at what we got here," he said as his hands began to roam her body. "You're all naked and I seem to be free of my pants... So... Let's have some more fun, OK?"

Ari let out a stifled sob as she felt him nudging her legs open.

"Please..." she whimpered.

Her screams were louder and her hands clawed at the bed as the nightmare went on. Now it was the third soldier.

Quote:

"Glad you are still here," he sneered. "I never got my turn."

He had hit her, knocking her into oblivion.

Ari faded into consciousness, but quickly realized that with the position she was in and the weight of the man on her body, she would rather be blissfully unconscious.

It was happening again.

She screamed and screamed fighting against an unknown assailant existing only in her mind. She suddenly snapped conscious when she realized that someone real had grabbed her wrists, restraining her.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" she screamed as she focuses in on the man. He was a dapper guy, dressed to the nines, but he had her arms pinned.

Her mind overloaded and she slipped unconscious, her body slackening.

The Detention Center

The Advocate thought as he left the Detention Center, mulling over what the big man had said to him.

"They raped her,"

That made more sense. A woman, fueled by adrenaline could possibly take out an attacker. But three?

Med Bay

He dismissed Murch quickly, along with any non-essential personnel. The women were stable and their vitals were being monitored.

He didn't know for how long he watched them, but it was more of a study to him than a looking after of the injured. He was looking for evidence. They were two good specimens. Beautiful in their own ways. Even clothed in a hospital gown and unconscious on a gurney.

Raped, he thought again. Which one? The big man only said 'she.' He got up and looked at the one named Amber. Without getting overly intrusive, he looked at her face and neck for bruising. Then checked her hands for scratches or other injuries. He didn't see anything, but then again, it had been a few days. could they have faded?

Then he moved over to Ari and looked at her. He could see some faint bruising on her forehead and some even fainter discoloration on her neck. If he hadn't been looking, he wouldn't have seen it. It was logical to think that this was indeed the one Sergei had talked about it.

He stood back a step and looked at her, his hand stroking his chin. Was this girl capable of killing the three soldiers? After all, she had already confessed to the murders.

He cocked his head a little when she wimpered ever so softly. She was dreaming and based on the tear that slid down her face, it was none to happy of a dream.

He watched, making mental notes as the episode escalated until it was at a point he felt he had to restrain her. She was screaming and he took hold of her wrists to make sure she didn't hurt herself.

"Calm down!" he said, but he didn't get through to her. He tried several more times to subdue her, but she was wickedly strong and all he could do was pin her wrists to the gurney by her head. "I won't hurt you."

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

Her eyes suddenly flashed open and focused in on him directly. He could see the hatred in her eyes, as well as the profound terror. Yes... This was definitely the one Sergei had mentioned.

Then her eyes glazed over and she ceased her resistance to him. She was exhausted and the mild effort she had put up had obviously sapped her of any strength she had and let her fade back into blackness. HE stepped back for a moment and regarded her a little more.

Was it possible? Something told him that it wasn't. He needed more data, such as her physical state afterwards. Was she hyped up on adrenaline? Was she emotional and physically drained? Both?

He turned back to Amber and studied her again. He wondered how close their relationship might be. Would she help her friend take out these men? Obviously, the soldiers were thinking along that line as well. But she never broke. Never admitted to it the soldiers even as they were being tortured.

Was that proof of innocence? Or physical stamina? Or extreme fortitude?

This was proving to be quite an interesting diversion to his normal day.

Starboard Hangar 2

Darren had managed to free the GT from its restraints without raising a fuss when Reno’s voice filled his head.

”Darren. How far along are you with the GT. I just got word from Sergei that Ari and Amber are heading towards the med bay. Can you get there from where you are quickly and can you create some sort of distracting mechanical or electrical gremlin?”

”We're good to go over here. replied Darren, whispering into his comm. ”I'll see if I can try, but it won't be easy. You'll definitely know it'll be me though when you see it."

And with that Darren slipped off and away from the GT, leaving Reno dumbfounded as to what he had meant as the mechanic left the hangar bay to create a disturbance in the Allied force aboard the ship.

Reno and Thalia's Hidey Hole

Reno was elated when he heard that the Gypsy Traveler was good to go. He admired the skill at which Darren took care of the items needed allow them to fly out of there, pending any resistance and if the bay doors were open. Those variables would just have to be handled when the time came.

As to what kind of help Darren could do for the girls in the Med Bay, he didn't sound quite as confident.

”I'll see if I can try, but it won't be easy. You'll definitely know it'll be me though when you see it."

"Do what you can, but don't do anything drastic until I tell you. It would be better if the big diversion was completed once they were stable enough to move on their own," Reno ordered. "For now, it would be nice to have eyes on them. Someone to make sure they are treated better than they have been."

He thought about the Advocate.

"And Thalia's friend that she called the favor in for their defense. I like him, but he's a wildcard. I don't know him or where his allegiances lie. I am going to try to find out some more information on the guy and check on our boys in the brig. We need to know where we stand on getting everyone out."

As Reno prepared to exit the hidey hole, Thalia informed him that she felt her services were no longer needed and that she planned on catching the first transport out of there. She seemed freaked a little, but he couldn't place his finger on why.

"Thanks for the help Thalia," Reno told her. "If you ever want a job, we will have one for you. We are in your debt."

With that, the two people slipped out of the Entertainer and went their separate ways.

Commander Murch's Quarters

Murch was seething with anger as he waited for Major Harrigan in his quarters. How dare that Advocate dismiss him like that on his own ship. Sure the guy has some major connections and was one of the most powerful men he ever met. Plus he was about the scariest dude he ever met, but still... He should have respect for his command.

Murch paced back and forth in his quarters like a caged animal until Major Harrigan arrived. He didn't even let the man speak before he laid into him.

"Exactly what did you manage to get out of those two whores by inflicting that kind of torture on them? Tell me that you at least got something!" Murch blasted at him. "Any confessions? Did you even care if you did or not or were you just wanting them to suffer? The Advocate is here on their behalf! Somewhere along the line, these carnies have friends in high places. Find out what is going on!"

Commander Murch's Quarters

He stepped into the Commander's quarters and didn't even have time to salute and greet the man before he was lambasted.

"Exactly what did you manage to get out of those two whores by inflicting that kind of torture on them? Tell me that you at least got something!"

"Well, the one girl confessed, but we know she had to have a helper. We couldn't get the other one to confess a word."

Major Harrigan knew that he was about to get blasted for that too. They didn't know any more than they did when the two women were arrested.

"Any confessions? Did you even care if you did or not or were you just wanting them to suffer? The Advocate is here on their behalf! Somewhere along the line, these carnies have friends in high places.

"The Advocate is here?" he asked, stunned. "I always thought The Advocate was a myth! Why the fuck would he be here for... for... them?"

Major Harrigan started pacing, mirroring his Commander.

"Anyway, I will admit that I was not at all concerned with their health. I could care less about what happened to those bitches. They killed my brother and two other good soldiers. They deserve whatever they get."

He was almost surprised at the vehemence in that statement. He wasn't usually so bloodthirsty, but they killed his brother. Family was different.

"Find out what is going on!"

"I will Sir. I will start someone searching the Cortex and other files looking for a connection between the Advocate and the crew of the Gypsy Traveler," he informed him. "In the meantime, I can go down to the Med Bay and keep an eye on things. After all, prisoners need to have a guard at the post and if needed, the Advocate should have an escort. You know... In case he gets... lost."

Amber's mind too had gone back to that day. She didn't want it to, but she had no control over it. She thrashed around weakly on the... whatever it was she was laying on. Bed, table, floor... she didn't know. The sound of the screams penetrated her mental fog somewhat, snapping the replay forward a bit.

The storage room was not where Amber wanted to be. Where she wanted to be was rescuing Ari, who was screaming as the men raped her. It was driving her half mad not being able to have prevented it and not being able to stop it. She ransacked the room looking for anything useful. There was very little that could be used as a weapon other than the crutches she had for the strained ankle. Those weren't exactly lethal but she could at least knock one maybe two of the hundans out and give Ari a fighting chance. If she could get out of here, that is...

The pilot continued to thrash a little, sounds of frustration audible every so often. "...save Ari..." she mumbled. "Stop rape..." Amber's head turned from side to side in agitation.

"I've almost got the last screw out. I'm going to go in there and try to save Ari. I'm going to need your help. I can't stop them alone." The last screw hit the floor, and a moment later Amber did too. In the manner of dreams, time skipped forward to Amber wandering - staggering - her way down the street. She ran into Louisa and a man she didn't know. A brief conversation ensued, and the man was declared to be new crew. Louisa asked Amber what had happened...

"Barmaid... hit me... crutch" were the distinguishable words she was unknowingly saying out loud. "Locked in... storage room... escape..." There was some more indistinguishable babble from Amber. Presumably it was more of the remembered conversation. "...hundans raping Ari... need to save her. Three hundans..." The intelligible words trailed off again, and subsided into silence punctuated by more thrashing and twitching. "Louisa, go... Save Ari... I go... ship... get help... Head hurts... Concussion, maybe..."

There were more mutterings and thrashings, but very little else that was intelligible. Most of what was said was repeating things that had been said previously about stopping the rape and saving Ari, things about how the Feds and other Alliance officials hated circus folk, and something about someone being disappointed in her for not running away fast enough to avoid being captured. How much of it was useful to anyone was up for debate.

Med Bay

The Advocate waited in the Med Bay for a bit, studying the two young women. He wish he had some other kind of corroborating evidence and was excited when Amber started to talk in her sleep.

"...save Ari..." "Stop rape..."

The girl was clearly agitated and it was now the 3rd time someone on the Gypsy Traveler had mentioned a rape. Were they banding together to assert some kind of cover for the crimes committed?

"Barmaid... hit me... crutch" "Locked in... storage room... escape..."

Hmmm... If he was understanding things better then it would seem that Amber Kynes might not even been in the Double Trouble when things went down.

Huh. Interesting. Why hadn't she asked for a medical examination? A head injury in the short past might show up on a scan. He also thought it might be useful to do a scan of Ari's body too. There could be bruising. She already looked like she had some fading bruises on her face.

"...hundans raping Ari... need to save her. Three hundans..."

Three hundans... Three soldiers... Curious.

"Louisa, go... Save Ari... I go... ship... get help... Head hurts... Concussion, maybe..."

Louisa.

Who was Louisa? He made a note to go back through the Gypsy Traveler's crew manifest. She sounded like someone he might want to talk to. Maybe she was in the room. Maybe she helped to kill these soldiers. After all, they were looking for women.

He tried to continue to listen, but most of what she uttered after that was unintelligible. He was about to go back to the Detention Center when he ran into another one of Murch's lackeys. One very tall lacky.

"Is there something I can help you with soldier?"

Major Harrigan met the man in question as he got to the doorway of the Med Bay: The Advocate. The man exuded power. It was a little unsettling, but his fortitude was strong. He didn't care where this Advocate came from. He wasn't going to let anyone connected with his brother's death get away unscathed.

"Is there something I can help you with soldier?"

"Major Samuel Harrigan, Sir," Major Harrigan introduced himself with a salute. "I have been assigned to assist you. This is a large ship and Commander Murch didn't want you to get lost."

The Major heard a slight snort, but allowed the man to exit the Med Bay with him, before he got out of range to do so, he looked back at Ari and Amber and sneered.

"Major Samuel Harrigan, Sir," "I have been assigned to assist you. This is a large ship and Commander Murch didn't want you to get lost."

The Advocate did indeed snort loudly.

"Do you really think that having you tagging along when I am interviewing citizens regarding the alleged conduct of your brother is wise?" he asked raising an eyebrow.

This whole thing was getting quite entertaining, at least from the soldiers' points of view. Murch was a simpering idiot who couldn't carry on a unbiased investigation if his life depended on it. Harrigan was definitely out there blindly defending his brother. But the most interesting folks in this whole affair were these carnies. Circus folk. They all had a sense of strength in them that seemed like it was honed in battle.

Most intriguing.

He didn't really wait until Harrigan answered him before moving on.

"I am going to pay Romanov and the other man a visit now. You may accompany me, but if I get interrupted by any outbursts from you, I will drop you on the spot, dong ma?" he warned dispassionately. "And don't think I won't enjoy it."

He heard Harrigan give a disgruntled growl as a response.

Detention Center

He strode into the Detention Center and crossed directly over to the cell where Sergei and Skyelar were being held.

"Open it," he ordered. It was done as he asked and he entered the cell, and casually leaned against the outside wall. "Good day gentlemen. I am the one leading Miss Kynes' and Miss Duquesne's defense. I didn't have much time to talk with you earlier, so I have returned."

He smiled cooly at both of them, noting that the younger one looked like he was about to leap out of his skin.

That one is hiding something, he thought.

"So tell me everything you know. Everything about the 2 women in the med bay upstairs and about the three soldiers involved," he ordered, staring down Harrigan so he would hopefully remember what he had told him about interrupting him. "By the way, you may call me 'Mr. Advocate'."

Detention Center

Sergei stood once he heard the outer doors to the Detention Center open. He knew the sound intimately. You didn't spend that many years in a POW camp and not get used to how things worked in situations like this.

He was relieved to find out it was Amber and Ari's advocate. But then he scowled when he saw Harrigan. He knew exactly who had initiated Amber and Ari's little climate change experiment. His fists clenched as did the muscles in his entire body.

And even without thinking, he placed himself between the two men and Skyelar.

"Open it,"

Yes... Please do... Sergei thought as his mind started formulating a plan. Nothing about his plan was anywhere near nice.

"Good day gentlemen. I am the one leading Miss Kynes' and Miss Duquesne's defense. I didn't have much time to talk with you earlier, so I have returned."

Sergei glanced up at the Advocate for just a split second. He noticed instantly a dangerousness in the man. He was more than just a lawyer. But he trained most of his attention back on Harrigan. As far as he knew the lawyer wasn't there when Amber and Ari were tortured.

He just wanted to get his hands around the man's throat.

"So tell me everything you know. Everything about the 2 women in the med bay upstairs and about the three soldiers involved," "By the way, you may call me 'Mr. Advocate'."

Sergei's eyebrow raised.

"What is that? Some kind of secrety agent code name?" Sergei growled, turning just a bit so to keep his eye on both of them. As he did, he guided Skyelar to keep him behind him.

The Advocate gave a little shrug to that question. Sergei's spidey sense was on alert, but decided to play ball. There was nothing wrong with telling the truth. It was what it was and if it made Harrigan even the tiniest bit uncomfortable, then it would make him feel a little more vindicated.

"You should ask the brother there what kind of worthless hun dan his kin was," Sergei growled. "After all, who knows how many women he raped."

Harrigan was about to protest when The Advocate shut him down with a lethal glare. Sergei smirked at him in satisfaction.

"We first met the man when the ship was boarded just shy of Kerry. There was a customs man and soldiers there along with Murch. They were searching ships looking for contraband, which by the by, we were not in possession. They took all the women and used them to search the rooms. Ari returned far later than the others."

Sergei knew what she did back then, but now wondered if there was more to it. She was rather withdrawn afterwards, but then again, Ari was always a loner. He knew of Ari's proclivity towards one night stands, but he wasn't going to mention that. He didn't want anyone saying that she deserved it or led anyone on.

"Once we were dirtside, her and Amber went to town to blow off some steam. It must have been during that time when it happened. When those men, all three of them, raped her," Sergei surmised. "I didn't know about it until later, apparently she asked Amber and the others not to tell. I found out after the Alliance stole our ship. She was in bad shape. Out of her mind. Traumatized. Our ship was gone and so was all of her stuff. Stuff from her parents. You know... The Alliance massacred her folks and most of her troupe during the war."

He was getting more and more angry.

"At least Amber wasn't attacked. Those three at least only destroyed the life of one young woman," he added. "Well destroyed it more anyway. I about killed the Captain when I found out he knew-"

He cut himself off quickly. He hadn't wanted to mention Reno. It just slipped out.

"So where is your captain. Reno Carson is it?" The Advocate asked.

Sergei smiled cooly.

"I'm not exactly sure. We parted ways a while back and I came here to help Lars get his ship back. I also wanted to find the girls and check on them. Good thing I did."

The Advocate regarded him for a moment, then addressed Skyelar.

"Did you know anything about this attack?" The Advocate asked.
